Last year the Central Coast Stingrays was launched. It was an Open Women’s Team made up of women from the coast, and whom, took pride in putting the Central Coast on the Volleyball Map. This year the team has grown into three teams and all have continued to compete in many regional and state cups as well as competing in SVL (Sydney Volleyball League) of which they won Gold in. After all their effort over the last 2 years, they can now claim to be placed in the top 3 teams in the state. A credit of which myself and the girls are extremely proud of.
In August 2014 we saw the Central Coast Marlins launch into the realm of competitive Mens Volleyball. They played their first tournament at the Central Coast Classic in Terrigal and mixed it with teams from Sydney including Baulkham Hills, Liverpool, Bathurst, Homebush and many more. They played exceptionally well in such a high performance field.
“BREAKING NEWS: A SECOND DIVISION 2 TEAM OF THE STINGRAYS HAS NOW BEEN LAUNCHED. THESE PLAYERS TRAIN WITH DIVISION 1 PLAYERS WHICH PROVIDES MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES FOR DIVISION 1 AND ADVANCMENT FOR DIVISION 2.
